Professor emeritus Heinz Brandl delivered a lecture on topic: “Structures in unstable soil and rock slopes (Retaining structures, bridges, earth structures)” on 23rd of November 2017 at the Faculty of mining, geology and civil engineering, University of Tuzla. Professor emeritus Heinz Brandl, dipl. civil eng., has been awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of Science in Geotechnics, for the great contributions to the development of energy ground structures, continuous compaction control, geosynthetics, freezing-thawing behaviour of soil’s research, cellular double-wall vertical barriers for landfills, geotechnics in the modern infrastructure, as well as, for the active collaboration with the researchers and contribution to the development of geotechnics in Bosnia and Herzegovina and at the University of Tuzla.
