The eight scientific and expert conference, GEO-EXPO 2018, was held in the Hotel Sunce in Neum on 18th and 19th of October. The conference focused on several themes: “Geotechnics, Rock Mass, Mining, Geo-Environmental and Civil Engineering” and attracted over 100 participants from the region. Keynote presentations were delivered by invited lecturers: prof. Resat Ulusay (Turkey), prof. Ikuo Towhata (Japan), prof. Hideaki Marui (Japan), prof. Predrag Miščević (Croatia) and prof. Zvonko Tomanović (Montenegro). 24 papers by prominent lecturers, professors and experts from the world and region were published in the GEO-EXPO 2018 Proceedings. Nine companies from the region and Europe, presented their latest technologies, products/equipment and projects related to geotechnics.
The participants had an opportunity to join a professional tourist visit to Vjetrenica cave on the second conference day.
